A house fire in Mount Pearl on Saturday afternoon left seven people temporarily homeless.
The blaze gutted one side of a duplex on Easton Place, with the other half sustaining smoke and water damage.
The Canadian Red Cross is providing temporary housing and money to replace food, clothing and other basic items for an adult couple and three children from one unit, and a woman and her adult son who lived in the other.
Fortunately there were no injuries in the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
