A criminologist believes the new tip line that has been set up to report vandalism on the Northeast Avalon isn’t the best way to address the issue.
Dr. Adrienne Peters, who is also a MUN faculty member, says she doesn’t want to discount the RNC’s latest initiative, but she doesn’t know if it is the solution that’s needed.

She points to time she spent with a community in British Columbia. There, Peters explains they took two years to address the issue—the first was spent looking at the causes of increased vandalism, and the second was dedicated to implementing solutions.
