A Bay Roberts man has had more charges laid against him after allegedly assaulting a police officer in Bay Roberts.
According to the RCMP, the incident happened when they tried to arrest 41-year-old Donald King at a home on an outstanding warrant for charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, robbery, theft, break and enter, and failure to comply with a release order.
Police say he assaulted an officer and fled the home through a window. He was arrested a short time later at a neighbouring property.
King appeared in court yesterday on new charges of assaulting a police officer and failing to comply with a release order. He will appear again later this week.
