Bell Aliant confirms that “some customers” in Atlantic Canada, including here in Newfoundland and Labrador, are experiencing service interruption.
It’s similar to another outage earlier in the week affecting phone, internet and cable services. Bell says two fibre cables delivering TV and some phone services have been damaged. Wireless and internet services are not affected.
Work is underway to restore service.
Some customers in Atlantic Canada may be experiencing a service interruption. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

The RNC and RCMP are affected as well. The RNC are asking residents on the Northeast Avalon to call their Corner Brook office at 637-4100 for routine, non-emergency calls.
While RCMP is asking residents who require police assistance to call 772-8087.
In the event of an emergency, call 911. Police are asking people not to call 911 for non-emergencies, as it could cause unnecessary delays and backlogs.
