Protesters are planning to gather in downtown St. John’s today as part of an
international day of action calling for a ceasefire to the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
A statement from the St. John’s Palestine Action Committee also demands an end to the occupation of Palestine, an end to the blockade of Gaza, and the “right of return for Palestinian Refugees.”
The event is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Harbourside Park.
Similar events are scheduled for across the country and around the world.
