Transportation Minister John Abbott met this week with members of the Save Our People Action Committee, a group dedicated to making highway travel safer from moose collisions.
There is a growing call for the installation of more moose fencing along sections of highway in the province to help reduce the number of moose-vehicle collisions.
The department says the province is committed to further exploration of moose fencing pilots as a measure to help improve highway safety.
The province is also looking at a vegetation suppression program to slow growth in areas recently cleared of brush.
