Police Service Dog Marlow assisted in the arrest of a wanted man in Harbour Grace on Wednesday.
Joshua Hearn, who is 38, was wanted on allegations of assault with a weapon, and had been evading RCMP since late last week.
The investigation led them to a home in the area.
RCMP say Hearn exited the home and went around back, but when confronted by the police dog and her handler, he fled back to the front of the house where he was arrested without further incident.
Hearn appeared in court yesterday on charges of assault with a weapon, assault, and resisting arrest.
