A 21-year-old Pouch Cove man has been arrested and is facing numerous serious charges in connection with a terrifying incident that could have turned out far worse.
A car with five people on board, left the road and ended up down in the water in Pouch Cove early Saturday morning.
Police were called when someone noticed a car floating in the water around 4:20 in the morning.
Miraculously, all five occupants of the car managed to get out alive. Police say it appears as though the car has been involved with what they’re calling an interaction with another vehicle and its driver before ending up in the water.
Raymond O’Keefe has been charged with dangerous driving, five counts of aggravated assault, five counts of assault with a weapon, and failure to remain at the scene of a crash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RNC or Crime Stoppers.
