Get ready for a test of the national Alert Ready system this morning.
A test message will be broadcast through radio, television, smart phones and other compatible wireless devices at 10:55 this morning in Newfoundland and 10:25 in most parts of Labrador.
It will involve a loud alert and a text message.
Alert Ready delivers important messages that could potentially save lives in times of emergency or pending disaster, allow people to take action and stay safe.
The Alert Ready system delivered more than 820 public emergency alert messages in Canada in 2022.
