The Burin Peninsula Highway—Route 210—is now open to one lane after a tractor trailer overturned between Parker’s Cove and Boat Harbour West early this morning.

The route was impassable for a number of hours while emergency crews attended the scene. The tractor trailer was leaking fuel.

Police say drivers should still expect delays in the area until the road has fully reopened.

A section of the Burin Peninsula Highway is closed and will remain so for several hours.

A tractor trailer, which is leaking fuel, has overturned. Route 210 between Parker’s Cove and Boat Harbour West is currently impassable.

RCMP will provide updates, but people hoping to get through that section of the highway will not be able to do so for some time.
