The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is inviting people to share their memories of the last time St. John’s hosted the Canada Summer Games back in 1977.
CEO of the Host Society, Karen Sheriffs says four decades ago St. John’s hosted 2,000 athletes, coaches and managers for 13 days.
The 2025 event will be much bigger, with 5200 athletes and others participating in 17 sports over a total of 18 days.
Sheriffs says they’re looking for pictures and memories from the last time the capital city region hosted the games.
She says they’re looking for all kinds of memories from athletes, volunteers or spectators of events or the opening or closing ceremonies. Submissions can be made via email at communications@2025canadagames.ca
