A man charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Torbay eight months ago was back in provincial court yesterday.
Fifty-one-year-old David Peter Reardon appeared by video from the penitentiary in St. John’s.
He faces a litany of serious charges in connection with this and other incidents, including: attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, unlawful and careless use of a firearm, and breaching orders not to possess weapons.
Reardon was arrested after police responded to a report of a shooting near the Foodland in Torbay just before midnight on March 18, a Saturday night.
The victim continues to recover, after initially suffering serious injuries. Police say the two men did know each other.
Reardon’s next court date is set for November 29.
