Someone made off with a substantial amount of fuel from a commercial work site on the Bonavista Peninsula earlier this month.
RCMP say approximately 2,000 litres of diesel was stolen from the site on the Stock Cove Access Road between Port Rexton and Knight’s Cove.
Quantities of oil and antifreeze, various hand tools and gas cans were also removed from the site.
RCMP believe, because of the significant quantity of fuel involved and the efforts it would have required to move the fuel from that location, that area residents may have information related to suspicious activity in the area.
Anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area between Friday, November 10th and Monday, November 13th, to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
