There are all kinds of weather warnings out for parts of the island today covering everything from rain to freezing rain and wind.
The southwest coast—from roughly Burgeo to Port aux Basques, could be in for 60 or 70 mm of rain. Winds in the Wreckhouse are expected to top 100 km/h but they will also be high in Bay St. George.
Wanda Batten, a meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, says there will also be a lot of glitter, especially in the interior.
She says a good chunk of central Newfoundland and parts of the west coast could see several hours of freezing rain tonight.
