The NDP has opened nominations for Conception Bay East-Bell Island.
Current MHA David Brazil is leaving politics just before the new year, meaning that a byelection is likely.
The deadline for nominations for the NDP is noon this coming Monday, but Kim Churchill has already stated her intention to wave the party flag.
The PC nomination process is also currently underway with Tina Neary planning to seek the nod but the Liberals have yet to issue the call for candidates.
