Newfoundland and Labrador is about one month into its fall vaccination campaign, and things have been going well according to the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
According to the most recent data on the province’s new respiratory activity dashboard, just over 11 per cent of the eligible population is up to date on their COVID shots, and 16 per cent have their flu shot.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald believes the numbers thus far are on par with what is to be expected.
She says influenza vaccination numbers are comparable with previous years, and COVID vaccination numbers are comparable with the rest of the country.
The respiratory virus dashboard will be updated this afternoon.
