One of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most recognizable performers has released a new book.
Comedian and political satirist Rick Mercer has just released “The Road Years”, a sequal to his bestselling memoir “Talking to Canadians”.
The Road Years tells the story of the beginning of the “Rick Mercer Report” and Mercer’s quest travelling the country for 15 years to find positive stories.
He says while he doesn’t miss the road, he doesn’t have any regrets. He says he didn’t unpack for 15 years, but he made incredible memories.
“Every member of Rush, I met on the road. There was the Train of Death. There was jumping out of airplanes. There was adventures with Jan Arden. There were Prime Ministers. There was fishermen and fighter jets. There was a lot of stuff jammed into those 15 years.”
The Road Years is out now.
