The RNC have seized a number of items from a home on Brazil Street that was the focus of a major police operation on Sunday.

Police were called to the neighbourhood early Sunday morning following reports of numerous shots fired, and a person who had entered the property.

The area was cordoned off and contact with the people inside was established through a cell phone tossed into the house.

All three people inside, two men and a woman, left the house without incident by 3:30 Sunday afternoon, but not before the Downtown Christmas Parade was postponed for safety reasons.

A number of items have been sent to the National Crime Lab in Ottawa for examination.

The three people inside the home were arrested and released while the investigation continues.
