A man and woman were arrested by RCMP at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal while attempting to leave the province.
Deer Lake RCMP received a report of a gas and dash and theft of items from White Bay Convenience near Hampden Junction on Sunday morning.
Surveillance footage identified two people, a man and woman with outstanding arrest warrants, who left the scene, heading west on the Trans Canada.
The pair, 40-year-old Robert King and 41-year-old Tamara Lowe, were under court orders not to leave the province on charges currently before the court.
RCMP located the suspect vehicles at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal waiting to board the boat.
Police seized the vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation, and charges have been laid against both King and Lowe.
King is facing numerous charges including theft under $5,000, identity fraud, and possession of property obtained by crime, while Lowe is charged with theft under $5,000, failing to comply with the conditions of a release order and failure to attend court.
