RCMP on the Burin Peninsula are advising the public of an interruption in some services at their old detachment while they move into a new one.
The changes are in effect from Wednesday to Friday of this week, and will mean no in-person front counter service or local phone calls to the Marystown office for at least a couple of days.
To reach an officer during that time, you can call 709-279-3001 and press either option 1 or 2, depending on the urgency of the call, and they’ll be answered and forwarded on by RCMP communications in St. John’s. Anyone with an emergency should still call 911.
All policing services will return to normal on Monday at the new detachment, located directly behind the current offices on McGettigan Boulevard.
