The Mayor of St. John’s says tackling the housing crisis has shown him that the three levels of government aren’t always well aligned.

Danny Breen says communication that happens between the three levels of government on housing isn’t great.

As an example, he says the province put pieces of land in the city out for development approvals, but the city wasn’t involved in that process of identifying the land and Breen believes they could have brought important information to the table. He says governments need to do better, noting that they can’t work in silos anymore.
