A 65-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving after a vehicle struck a snowbank in Forteau Wednesday evening.

The driver, who was found at the scene of the crash, showed signs of impairment according to RCMP and failed a roadside breath test.

Breath samples collected at the local detachment came in at more than twice the legal limit.

The driver was released to appear in court at a later date. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
