A man, seemingly pretty desperate, is in custody after trying to break into a store in the centre city yesterday. The incident unfolded at about 4:30 a.m.
When RNC officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the parking lot—running—and a man trying to pry open the front door of the store. Officers found that the car had been stolen.
A 46-year-old man was arrested and taken to the lockup for court today on charges of property damage, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime and breaches of court orders.
