The much-anticipated ski season begins this Thursday at Marble Mountain.
General Manager Richard Wells says that may feel late for many ardent ski buffs, but it’s actually better than last year’s start.
The Lightening Express opens at 10 a.m. on Thursday with one designated run right from the top.
Wells calls the outdoor operations team tasked with snow-making his “super heroes.” He says they’ve been hard at work, creating and pushing the snow from the top to the bottom.
Marble Mountain opened on January 11 last year, but it was on lower terrain only, and it was another two weeks before they got to the Lightning Express.
