The now past-chair of the St. John’s Board of Trade says the organization is in good hands with his successor.
Kevin Casey was sworn into the role by Mayor Danny Breen at the Delta Hotel yesterday, along with other members of the 2024 board of directors.
Casey, who co-founded the Idea Factory, is currently a co-owner with Cal LeGrow Insurance, and a recent best-selling author.
He assumes the chairmanship from Alex Gibson who remains with the board as past-chair.
Gibson says Casey is “100 per cent” fit for the job.
“I think Kevin Casey’s name speaks for himself,” says Gibson. “He’s been on the circuit and in the business for an umpteenth number of years. I consider him a mentor, friend, collaborator and everything else thereafter. And I very much look forward to being a part of his executive team, as past chair.”
