A man from Main Point, Gander Bay has been charged with a number of offences related to online child exploitation.
The RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested 51-year-old Gerald Nippard on Monday.
Electronic devices were seized and analysed following the search of a home in the community in March of this year.
Police say the digital forensic analysis, in addition to other evidence collected, resulted in a number of charges being laid including access, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
Nippard is also facing a charge of breaching a sexual offences prohibition order.
He’s scheduled to appear in court on December 15th.
