Flights at St. John’s International Airport are resuming today after intense snowfall grounded operations for two days, but passenger airliners weren’t the only planes touching down at YYT.
The Airbus Beluga cargo plane landed in St. John’s shortly after 3 p.m. The large cargo jets are a rarity, with only five in existence.

The aircraft is currently making its way to Florida from France to deliver an electric telecom satellite.
The Beluga previously made a stopover in St. John’s in January 2023, drawing a number of spectators to the airport to get a look at the massive and unique looking aircraft.
