Niklas Edin’s Team Sweden came out on top in a tough battle between two of the world’s best curling skips.
The Brad Gushue rink fell behind early and put the push on to tie it up, but it was too late—losing 6-5 in their second game of the day at the World Men’s Curling Championship.
The team have already punched their ticket to the tournament playoffs, and have secured a spot in the 2025 Olympic qualifiers with their victory over Norway this morning.
The loss to Sweden, however, has an influence on the playoff placings.
Playoffs begin on Saturday morning.
