Formal hearings for the Inquiry Respecting the Treatment, Experiences and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection System have been postponed in Sheshatshiu.

The hearings, scheduled to begin today and go until April 19, are being postponed in light of recent tragedies in the community.

The commissioners offered condolences to the families and community for their losses.

The formal hearings will be rescheduled at a later date.
