The official Opposition is asking questions about what they say are discrepancies in pay for chemotherapy nurses in rural parts of the province versus those in St. John’s.
PC Leader Tony Wakeham first raised the issue in the House of Assembly yesterday, asking the Premier why such differences in pay would exist.
Wakeham says such nurses have reached out to the party, and accuses government of “discriminating” against rural chemo nurses.
Furey says it is the first time he’s heard of the issue, but if there is a discrepancy they will work with NL Health Services to fix it.
