Expect to see bouquets of flowers in some unusual places throughout the capital city today.
Members of the NHS Floral Design Group are dropping miniature bouquets off at more than 100 locations across St. John’s—including parks, bus stops, parking lots and the doorsteps of nursing homes, hospitals and not-for profits.
Campaign organizer Corie Outerbridge says the bouquets are intended to help spread a bit of cheer and they’ve heard from many people in the past who were delighted by picking up a random bouquet.
The cheerful effort is being supported with a grant from RBC whose staff will be helping to distribute the flowers along with women’s centre participants.
Each posy has a card attached saying “Take me home and enjoy the flowers.” Recipients are encouraged to tweet pictures of the bouquets they pick up.
