Residents at Lane’s Retirement Home can’t always get out to do their own shopping but are now able to take advantage of their very own shopping boutique.
Cynthia Taylor, the recreation and enrichment director for Lane’s, says residents enjoy the convenience and the selection.
Lane’s has such a boutique in each of the facilities it runs across the province. The clothing shops also provide residents with an opportunity to socialize.
They’re currently looking for donations.
They’re outreaching right now across the island: Carbonear, Botwood, Port Saunders, Irishtown-Summerside and Airport Heights.
“We’re asking people to go through their closet to see if they have any summer clothing they can spare, and to drop it off to one of our facilities,” says Taylor.
