Seemingly endless work is continuing on the Pitts Memorial overpass that leads into downtown St. John’s.
The latest detour takes effect this coming Monday, May 13, with the closure of the off-ramp which merges onto Water Street.
It will be shut down as of 7 a.m. Monday as crews embark on another section of bridge repair work which is expected to last a couple of months.
With the ramp out of commission, it’s recommended drivers continue to the traffic lights and hang a right onto the short Hamilton Avenue extension that leads down to Water Street.
