The Trans Canada is now open following a serious collision near Bishop’s Falls Friday evening.

The collision forced the temporary closure of a portion of the highway between the Bishop’s Falls exits.

RCMP issued an advisory around 7:30 yesterday.

There is no immediate word on possible injuries as a result of the collision.

A serious motor vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Bishops Falls is expected to disrupt traffic for several hours.

Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP are currently on the scene. Motorists are being directed to reroute through the town of Bishops Falls.
