A 29-year-old man is facing assault charges following an incident at a home over the lunch hour in metro on Saturday.
Police responded to a call of a disturbance at a residence in the east end of St. John’s. Police say a man who was known to residents showed up and was involved in an altercation, but left before officers arrived on scene.
The man was later located in CBS and was arrested for assault with a weapon, assault by choking and damage to property.
He was held at the lockup for court.
