More than 200 people took part in a recent conference focused on equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism held at Memorial University’s Signal Hill Campus this week.
Dr. Delores Mullings of MUN’s School of Social Work says the international conference focused on the positives of inclusion and diversity.
“Just talking about how we can create spaces for everyone,” says Mullings “and this conference really is showcasing the gains, the positiveness of what people have done.”
She says “we’re not really talking so much about all the negative things, we’re talking about the things that are more uplifting, the success stories.”
