The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre out of Halifax has shared some remarkable footage of an air rescue involving a fishing vessel off the coast of Newfoundland.
The JRCC says that last Saturday members of the 103rd and 413th squadrons responded to a medical emergency on board a boat 80 miles east of the island.
Footage from the helicopter shows a rescuer being lowered onto the moving vessel, and a person being hoisted back up.
The patient was then transferred to an ambulance back on land.
