A couple of New Democrat MPs are in Newfoundland and Labrador for the next few days discussing with people on how to make life more affordable.
Party whip Heather McPherson, who represents a seat in the Edmonton area, and Deputy House Leader Lindsay Mathyssen, whose riding is in the London, Ontario area, will meet with labour groups, military housing organizations and seniors while in the St. John’s area.
Their host, St. John’s East NDP candidate Mary Shortall, says people are tired of the Liberals and Conservatives.
McPherson will also be discussing her bill to protect Canadians’ pensions from what she says will be cuts under the Conservatives.
