A teenager, originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 65-year-old woman last year has had the charge against him upgraded to first-degree murder.
The charge against the boy, who was 14 at the time of the woman’s murder, was upgraded following additional investigation by the RNC.
First-degree murder denotes the planned and deliberate death of another person.
The boy’s name is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He’s scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
