The main entrance of the A.C. Hunter Library at the John C. Perlin Arts and Culture Centre in St. John’s remains closed as inspection on the facility’s interior and exterior brick continues.
The foyer entrance was closed two months ago due to concerns about loose bricks that could fall and pose a hazard, and visitors have been directed through the north side entrance since that time.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says a consultant is assessing the area and will be providing a remediation plan to government officials.
There is no immediate word on when that work will be completed.
