The spirit of the holiday season was on full display during Easter Seals NL’s annual “celebrate the season” event on Thursday.
The annual gathering took place at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
Program participants, their families, and supporters alike gathered for the celebration which featured several Easter Seals participants playing live on stage with Shanneyganock.

Fourteen-year-old Kaiden Benoit, who has issues with both his vision and hearing, was one of the performers.
Ahead of his performance, Benoit said he was “half and half,” both nervous and excited.

Samantha Parrell, fund development and communications manager with Easter Seals, calls the event their biggest in-person fundraiser of the year.
This year, they raised over $56,000, for a total of $450,000 since they started putting off the event.
Parrell says that money goes toward their programs and services.
