The founder of Goulds Cat Rescue is stressing the importance of microchipping pets after a cat was found after nearly a year-and-a-half out on her own.
Jason Pardy was working nights at a part-time job when Luna the cat started coming around.
Pardy started leaving food out for her every night, and eventually trapped her and brought her inside.
He discovered that she was microchipped and had been missing for 17 months.
He says microchipping increases the chances of finding a pet if they go missing.
