A decades-long radio staple on the province’s west coast is being recognized with a Confederation 75th Anniversary medal.
“Dynamite” Don Gibbon has been involved in radio on CFSX in Stephenville for the last 40 years.
He came to Stephenville in 1956 from Saint John, New Brunswick, and has been a hockey play-by-play announcer for more than 30 years.
Now well into his 80s, he is still doing part-time sales and is a dedicated volunteer in the community.
