The Trans Canada near Jeffrey’s remains impassable due to a serious collision in the area which occurred shortly after 8:00 this morning.
RCMP say detours will remain in place for the next few hours as they attend to the scene.
Traffic is being diverted around the scene through Jeffrey’s. Police are asking drivers to abide by the posted speed limits through rural communities.

A serious collision has closed a portion of the Trans Canada Highway on the southwest coast.
The roadway is impassable at the Jefferys turnoff, with a detour in place between Jefferys and Robinsons.
