A man has been arrested after an incident at a bank in central Newfoundland on several charges, including assaulting a police officer.
Fifty-nine year-old Lawrence Clarke of Corner Brook, who had already been banned from the CIBC bank in Lewisporte, refused to leave the business last Wednesday afternoon. RCMP say Clarke, who they were trying to escort out of the building, became aggressive, assaulted one of the officers and threatened another, and resisted arrest.
Clarke was released the next day on a number of conditions including a follow-up court appearance January 21.
