Road conditions have deteriorated on the Avalon Peninsula and in the Clarenville area with a few centimetres of snow this morning. The snow began before daybreak, but temperatures stayed cool enough to keep it from turning to or mixing with rain.

There’s a vehicle off the Gushue Extension off-ramp onto Kenmount Road, so people should slow down and exercise caution.
The off-ramp was closed for a period of time while crews removed the vehicle from the ditch.
