The TCH west of South Brook is re-opened after what appears to have been a serious accident in central Newfoundland. Police and other first responders responded to the scene after 1 p.m.

Traffic was at a standstill for a number of hours but traffic began flowing again around 4:30 p.m.

Travelers are asked to reduced speeds in the area as clean-up of the accident continues.

There is no word yet on injuries.
