For the second straight day, another youth is facing weapon charges, this time after an incident in the west end of St. John’s.

Police were called to a business just before 6 yesterday evening, but when officers arrived, a group of youngsters took off on foot.

When officers finally caught up to the group, one of them was found to have a number of weapons.

A 16-year-old will face charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was held for court.
