The Newfoundland and Labrador Child Benefit is tax-free and worth between $150 and $170 per month per child under 18 years of age.
The Pre-Natal Early Childhood Nutrition Supplement is an additional benefit of $150 per month per child for families with children under five. The pre-natal component helps with the cost of nutritious food for mom during pregnancy.
In order to receive the benefits, the applicant’s taxes must be up to date.
