RCMP have arrested and charged a second suspect in connection with the removal of a bank machine from the RBC in Holyrood with the use of heavy equipment.
The early morning incident on December 16th left the bank building in ruins.
The ATM was recovered from a dump truck that was stopped heading east on the Trans Canada and the driver and lone occupant, 33-year-old Jason Weir, was arrested and charged.
This week, RCMP arrested 46-year-old Jamie Kennedy of Paradise. Police say he was found in possession of more than $4,000 in cash, a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
He appeared in court Wednesday on charges including break and enter, theft over $5,000, damage to property, possession of cocaine, four counts of breach of probation, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The investigation continues.
